5-year-old world's youngest to undergo awake brain surgery

A five-year-old girl named Akshita Yadav from Greater Noida underwent an awake craniotomy surgery for a left perisylvian intraaxial brain tumour at AIIMS Delhi. She became the world's youngest child to undergo this procedure. According to doctors, Akshita is doing well post-surgery and is likely to be discharged on Monday.
